We know you're into the classics and old school but how about the new modern rappers or trap music such as chief keef, gucci, chance the rapper, Kendrick, drake?

real-hiphophead:

Of the ones you listed, I listen to Kendrick and Chance.

If you’d been following me for a while, you’d know I love a lot of newer and modern MCs, and every month I post a compilation of my favorite new Hip-Hop that comes out. Chief Keef, Gucci & Drake type of rappers are just a representation of a very small scale of the Hip-Hop spectrum, and one I don’t listen to. But I do listen to new Hip-Hop artists regularly.

I am more into the new generation of producers than MCs, though.

This generation of Dilla/Madlib/Nujabes inspired producers like Apollo Brown, Oddisee, Black Milk, Confidence, Tall Black Guy, L’Orange, P.R, Ta-Ku, Exile, Knxwledge, Flying Lotus, just to name a few.

Your skin was cut from the finest Banarasi Silk, eyes of blood diamonds. Your hair was colorful fall leaves, floating in breezes of eyelashes made from butterflies. No one had clipped your wings yet, so I know you could still fly, but you spent your days with arms around my shoulders or hands…
